Examination of positive and negative impact of the media including television, movies, the recording industry, video games, and magazines on children and adolescents. Explores media link to violence and aggressive behavior, sexuality, drug use, and body image, and research on gender and racial differences in responding to the media. Course Information: Topical Area: Journalism/Media Studies. Not intended for students with Freshman or Sophomore standing.
