|WGS 322 - ECCE: Gay and Lesbian Studies|
Interdisciplinary survey of topics, questions, issues, and approaches in the field of gay/lesbian/bisexual/transder and queer studies: thinking outside the sex/gender binary; LGBTQ history, society, and culture; cross-cultural variations in sex/gender; contemporary issues of heterosexism, homophobia, violence, outing, bullying, HIV/AIDS, marriage, media representation. Course Information: Same as SOA 322. Intended for students with junior or senior standing. This course fulfills an Engaged Citizenship Common Experience requirement at UIS in the area of U.S. Communities.
