SOA 432 - ECCE: Language, Culture, and Education
This course will use an inter-disciplinary theoretical framework that draws upon anthropology, sociology, sociolinguistics, and psychology to understand the relationship between class, race, and gender and school achievement. Explanations of students’ school successes and failures that employ linguistic and cultural variables will be considered. Course Information: This course fulfills an Engaged Citizenship Common Experience requirement at UIS in the area of U.S. Communities.
