SOA 102 - World Cultures
Explores diversity around the globe, from prehistoric societies to the present. We discuss types of social organization and their relation to the environment, economics, ideologies, and social inequality. Of particular interest are cross-cultural contact through colonization and globalization. Through anthropological approaches we will learn about other cultures and ourselves. Course Information: This course fulfills a general education requirement at UIS in the area of Comparative Societies Social Sciences (IAI Code: S1 901N).
