WGS 322 - Gay and Lesbian Studies
Interdisciplinary survey of topics, questions, issues, and approaches in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer studies: thinking outside the sex/gender binary; LGBTQ history, society, and culture; cross-cultural variations in sex/gender; contemporary issues of heterosexism, homophobia, violence, outing, bullying, HIV/AIDS, marriage, media representation. Course Information: Same as SOA 322. Intended for students with junior or senior standing. This course fulfills a general education requirement at UIS in the area of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
