MAT 112 - Mathematics in Daily Life
Focuses on mathematical reasoning and the solving of real-life problems. Three topics will be chosen from the following list: geometry, graph theory, counting techniques and probability, mathematics of finance, and mathematical modeling. Course Information: Prerequisite: Geometry and intermediate algebra with a grade of C or better, or permission of the instructor. Placement test may be required to register for this course. This course fulfills a general education requirement at UIS in the area of Mathematics (IAI Code: M1 904).
